Sbafarmscollective.org – We are a small collective that has existed for about 30 years now. We operate a small farm, several cottage industries and try to teach sustainable gardening in our community at large. This spring we will be opening our first community garden and educational tours through the farm in general. We are allied with an organic beef ranch in our area and share resources with them. We are also associated closely with a small (2acre) urban farm in north Houston. very nice post, you have a gift for summarizing the issue and your recent travels have brought a crystal clear example of the problems that plague us all as small farmers. there was a time when small farmers could organize into co-ops for irrigation and farm equipment. most are gone now but it very well may be time to reorganize them. great post. thank you.

Please help us keep track of these amazing creatures, they are a very important factor in assessing the health of the environment of North America. From them we learn about the effects of pesticides, GMO’s , agribusiness’ impact on the migration of both butterflies but birds also, here at the farm we also track migratory song birds, hummingbirds and several types of hawks.
I appreciate your being here. Please share this site if you find it worthwhile. Peace and Light be with you all.
