Post-Op News
So, I made it throught the surgery, although it was quite possibly the most traumatic surgery I’ve ever been through in my life. Oh yeah, it was heart surgery. . . duh!  It’s very odd to wake up with all the tubes still inserted that are normally removed when you wake from other surgeries. It’s also odd to wake up restrained, though I don’t remember but about a second of that. There are some other things I only remember about a second of, but I haven’t quite figured them out enough to comment on them just yet–more on that eventually.
Anyway, the nurses were great, extremely kind and patient. My surgery nurse hugged me and prayed with me, providing me with profound comfort in the OR. When I went overboard doing the required exercise immediately post-op, they ordered me to rest, and made sure I did. I was extremely well cared-for, and I am supremely thankful for that.
All that’s left now is to finish recovering and see how things unfold from here. I do feel better, and different. I can’t really fully explain that just yet, but I’m working on it, and when I figure it out, you’ll be the first to know. Thank you all for your prayers, good thoughts and positive energy during all of this.
Namaste
